Welcome to Pinters. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Pinters app, website, and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
1. Who can use Pinters
- You must be of legal drinking age in your country (18+ in the UK and most of the EU, 21+ in the US).
- You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date.
- You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for anything that happens under your account.
- One account per person. Don't impersonate anyone else.
2. Your content
You own the content you post — photos, captions, comments, messages. By posting, you grant Pinters a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute that content for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.
You're responsible for what you post. Only post content you have the right to share. We may remove content or accounts that breach these Terms without prior notice.
3. Acceptable use
Don't:
- Post illegal, harmful, harassing, hateful, or sexually explicit content.
- Encourage dangerous or excessive drinking, drink-driving, or underage drinking.
- Promote, sell, or supply alcohol or other regulated goods through the Service.
- Spam, scrape, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the Service.
- Use bots, scripts, or automated means to access the Service without permission.
- Attempt to access accounts or data that aren't yours.
4. Drink responsibly
Pinters is a social app — not a drinking game. Know your limits, look after your mates, and never drink and drive. If you or someone you know needs help, contact a local support service such as Drinkaware (UK) or SAMHSA (US).
5. Subscriptions and payments
If we offer paid features in future, pricing, billing, and refund terms will be presented at the point of purchase. Payments are processed by Apple, Google, or another payment provider; their terms also apply.
6. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from Settings inside the app. The full process and what happens to your data is described at pinters.app/account-deletion. There is a 30-day grace window during which you can cancel the deletion by signing back in.
We may also suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, create risk for Pinters or other users, or for legal reasons. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (e.g. content licence for residual backups, liability, governing law) will continue to apply.
7. Intellectual property
The Pinters name, logo, software, and design are owned by Pinters. These Terms don't grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding. The Service is licensed, not sold, to you.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pinters is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of GBP 50 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (e.g. death or personal injury caused by negligence).
10. Changes to the Service or these Terms
We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We may also update these Terms; material changes will be highlighted in the app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales, unless mandatory consumer-protection laws in your country give you a different right.
